Brenda Blom
(Formerly Brenda Henry)
Brenda has dedicated over 35 years to her craft, studying under renowned artists in Minnesota and British Columbia. Her formal education includes certificates from both the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design and Capilano University's Visual Art Department. Throughout her career, she has maintained studios across Vancouver and currently works from her home studio in Connecticut. As an experienced educator, Brenda has taught oil painting to students in West Vancouver, British Columbia.
Her work spans multiple subjects, including vibrant poppies, coastal landscapes, portraits, and still life compositions. In recent years, she has expanded her artistic exploration into abstract works.
Working primarily in oils and acrylics, Brenda's distinctive style is characterized by her masterful use of color. Her paintings capture the essence of the natural world while conveying a spirit of optimism, calm, and reflection. Each piece invites viewers to experience both emotional and intellectual responses to her work. Through her art, Brenda strives to bring joy and deeper meaning to the world.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
